These terms, and what they are not

These terms govern your use of this website, the free tools on it, and the free AI visibility audit.

They are not our client agreement. If you engage us for a programme, a separate service agreement governs that work, and where these terms and that agreement disagree, the agreement wins.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

What this website is for

This website describes what we do, what it costs and how we work. The articles and the FAQ are general information about search and AI search.

None of it is advice for your specific situation, and nothing on this website creates a professional relationship between us. Decisions about your own business are yours.

We try to keep everything accurate and current. AI search changes quickly, and something written some months ago may no longer describe how an engine behaves. We do not warrant that anything here is complete or up to date.

The free tools

The tools on this website run entirely in your browser. Files you open in them are not uploaded to us and we never see them.

They are provided free and as they are, with no warranty of any kind. They may produce a result you did not want, and they may stop working.

Keep your own copy of anything you care about before putting it through a tool. We are not responsible for lost or damaged files.

You may use the output of these tools for any purpose, including commercially. You may not resell the tools themselves or present them as your own.

The free AI visibility audit

The audit is free, with no obligation on either side. We will test the questions we agree are relevant across the platforms we name, and send you a written report and a walkthrough.

The audit is a snapshot of what those platforms returned when we checked. AI answers vary between users, devices and dates. The audit is not a prediction, a guarantee, or a promise of any particular outcome.

We may decline a request, for example where we do not have the expertise to be useful or where we are already working with a direct competitor.

Our content

We own, or are licensed to use, everything on this website: the words, the design, the code, the diagrams and the WebWisp name and logo.

You may read it, print it and share links to it. You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link.

You may not copy substantial parts of it, republish it as your own, or use the WebWisp name or logo without our written permission.

What you send us

When you submit a form you confirm the information is accurate, that you are entitled to give it to us, and that you are not submitting anyone else's details without their agreement.

Do not send us confidential information through a website form. If something is sensitive, tell us and we will agree a better route.

Do not use this website or its forms to send anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or malicious, to attempt to gain access to systems or data you are not entitled to, or to place an automated load on it.

Availability

We aim to keep this website available but we do not promise it will be. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because something has gone wrong.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including any tool, at any time and without notice.

Links to other websites

Where we link to another website, we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control it and we are not responsible for its content or its handling of your information.

A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other side of it.

Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, and because this website and its tools are provided free of charge, we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.

If you are using this website as a consumer rather than for business purposes, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

We may change these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
